So it's official...Aiden on the move is bad!!! He moves so fast and grabs at everything and has no fear. So we had to block him in the living room couch area. Due to the way our house is set up and the way the furniture sits we had to use furniture rather than baby gates. So there are tables blocking walkways. Hopefully it won't be this way forever- we plan to work on making the entire downstairs more baby proof and then maybe we will be able to put the tables back where they go!

The other part of this is I am so happy and sad at the same time that my little man is crawling so well and trying to walk.

So there is a video below this of the Bug crawling. He is getting so dang big. He will be 10 months on Thursday (8/6). He says hi and dad and mama.

Maureen played soccer this summer. She had fun- the last game was so HOT she didn't go. It was 106+ here and there was no way!! lol Both little kids are in swim lessons. Garrett has only had a week and now they are moving him up next session. He goes to Mexico with his mom at the end of the month so that is good.

We have been camping once this summer since everyone is home. We went to Ft. Worden state park. It is up where the Puget Sound meets the Straight. There are old bunkers to explore and the beach to play on...we did a ton of hiking. Some friends met us there and the kids all played. We plan to take a trip to Forks in the near future (Twilight stuff! lol) and will probably throw a tent up at a park on the ocean on the way back.

C is working a lot still to make up for me being a SAHM. I am sorry he has to but glad he can! He is taking a class here soon...always studying.

We have had friends here for the last 5 days. They left today :-(. BUT now I can get my butt back in the gym- 20 lbs to go!

So other than the video of A it has been awhile and I thought I should Blog. The kids are all doing great.

Aiden is the BEST baby. So good in fact we asked the dr if he was okay! lol He is now almost 4 months old and is consistantly Sleeping through the night from about 9pm-5am. He gets up and eats and goes right back down until I get him up at 7:30am when we start our day.

Madeline is doing well in school. Still having some reading issues but we are working on that. And she is BRILLIANT when it comes to math so maybe that makes up for it? She starts swimming next week. Lessons. I hope it helps her with her confidence in the water.

Garrett is doing very well in school as well. No behavior issues at all! Listens to the teacher and learns very easily. He is wrestling right now and starts baseball on the spring.

Maureen is doing okay in school- mostly this is an age thing. She doesn't WANT to do it...so she doesn't. She is working on it though (after losing a few big girl toys- cell phone!) She loves to hold Aiden and play with him and she is so good with him and really a HUGE help.

Cory and I are good. We have two trips planned together soon. One with the baby and one all alone- Cory's mom is coming to keep the kids- THANK YOU!!! Hopfully Aiden will be good for his Nanna. And Petra will keep the girls when we take the baby to Maryland with us. I want to see my Mommom and have her meet my husband and see my son. We will stay with Erin and Jeff and I am sure will have a blast!

This Stay at home mom thing is good for trips and good for Aiden but I am occasionally bored out of my mind!!! I love being with them but sometimes I am so happy on my one day at work!!

Work

So I have decided not to go back to work full time.

I went in two weeks ago to tell T that I wasn't returning- once I decided for sure I wanted to give them as much notice as I could so they could find a new assistant.

During that meeting she asked if I would work part time on the days C isn't working...so no daycare for the little man. I explained his days off rotate and she said thats fine to just let them know in advance.

So I now work at RJ one day a week and will also pick up some computer stuff at home if they need me to!

So the best of both worlds for me...time with the kids and my husband AND I don't have to leave the awesome job I worked so hard for!

Halloween

The kids trick or treated here in our neighborhood. Maureen stayed home and passed out candy- and scared people. Then she went around with her friend Maria. Cracked me up one of our neighbors asked her if she was too old- I had a group of people that I swear were in their 20s! and Maureen was too old????!!! LOL

Today Aiden is a month old! His birth story follows. He is a super good eater (like eats constantly!!!) and has gained 3 lbs as of the last dr appt- but I bet it is more like 5 by now.

Birth Story

We checked in at noonish. They (without knowing) put us in the room next door to our friend that was in labor. C and I got all set up and the nurse came in. She told me they were really busy and since they could control MY labor we were going to "take it slow". Okay. Oh and she was pregnant- due the day before me- joked she needed some hypertension and gestational diabetes! lol

So they hooked us up and watched the contractions I was already having and tried to convince me they weren't BH...they may not have been but they were 10 minutes apart and didn't hurt at all...we would have been at that a week. A friend of mine came over to help C out if things got crazy. At about 1:30 they hung the antibiotics I needed since I also had group B step. About 2 we started the pitocin. The dr came over from her office at about 3:30 and checked me and then said "do you mind if I break the water?" okay so this hurt with Maddie so I thought YES I mind but said "No that would be fine" since I knew it would move things right along. So she did and while she was there she mentioned she was a little upset they had sort of went too slow- she wanted it done. Then she leaves. Nurse comes back in about 4:30 and says..."we are going to turn down the pit since things are crazy out here today" and we mentioned Dr had broke my water. OMG the look on the nurses face was hilarious! She had no idea. I ask if I can get up to walk and she says not on the pit but they could turn it off and then she says she thinks I can eat! We go for a walk and I check in with my friend. Got back to my room and Dr comes in...I tell her I am uncomfortable and ready for the epidural. She says okay but eat first. So I get some broth, jello and apple sauce. So I eat while I wait for the guy to come do the epi. Breathing through the contractions- they are painful but not terrible. Get the epi about 7 and from then on all is good! My normal dr goes home and one of her partners comes on- I know him so this is not a big deal. About 9:30 I feel sick and am holding a bag just in case when he comes in. He says "you feel sick?" I said yes. Then he kind of happy dances and says "Oh good. I mean sorry you don't feel well" then turns and walks out. Dh says "what was that about" I said "I think it is transition." They checked and I was 8 so we just had to wait until I was 10- that was at 11pm. So then we did a few practice pushes to see where he was and he had moved up a bit. So I did that 2 times. Then had 3 real good pushes and he was here. At 11:17 October 6th. And he was TINY! 6lbs 15 oz. So much for all that "don't have newborn clothes" and "he will be over 8 lbs" Of course all of those things are going through my head while I am pushing and I am just repeating in my head "please don't be 10lbs" After he was born they laid him on my chest and he cried. and I cried. and C came close to crying. Then they took him to do his tests and then gave him back to nurse. Which he did- wonderfully. Then they bathed him, moved us, and we got some sleep!

Vacation

So for vacation this year we took the kids and my sister and drove to California to go to Disneyland. Since Maureen wanted to see her dad and had been to Disney a few times she went down with us but stayed with him while we were there. We missed her with us but understood. It was cool having Neva with us even if we did make her tired. Stayed in nice hotels and when we were done in Anaheim headed to Ventura to visit Cory's dad and Margie. That was nice...to just relax and visit. Then we went to Sac to see Dan and Christie and the kids and everyone else. Had a nice visit. Then I flew home (couldn't take it 6 months pregnant) and Cory drove with the kids. It was good since then the 5 ft tall purple gorilla he won at Knotts could be in the car instead of on it.

Kids and I

Aiden and I are doing great...8 days ahead as of our last ultrasound. My next appointment is Monday the 16th before we head out on Vacation. He moves a lot! Even enough to wake me up sometimes. G got to go with us to the ultrasound and had TONS of questions...

So here we are... First is me on May 26th...

We took the kids here this past weekend. Indoor water park pretty close to the house. You have to stay at the hotel to use the park so that part kind of sucked. Water park was good and the kids had a blast. I would have been thrilled at the whole thing had it only cost us half of what we paid! lol

For anyone who doesn't know C and I are expecting a baby in October. We are due the 21st but hoping for at least the first week of October with my "stuff". I would love to have a stress free calm birth with walking, showers and rocking chairs but I doubt I will get any of that. I am big already- I guess once you have done this a few times it happens faster! LMBO! I feel slight movement occasionally but no kicking or such yet. We would love a boy but would be happy with a healthy baby and already have a boy name settled on, the girl name is another matter. We have the first name...yet to fall in love with anything to go with it. For those of you that care...I am not sick at all and feel wonderful if a little tired. I sleep 10+ hours a night and still fall asleep at my desk sometimes. Considering how SICK SICK SICK I was the entire time with the girls this is wonderful.

Vegas

So Cory and I went to Vegas this last week. We flew down on Saturday the 12th and back home on Tuesday the 15th (Happy Birthday to me!) Had an absolute blast. Looked at casinos, did a little gambling, and went to see O at the Bellagio- AWESOME! We saw my friends Steve and Aubrey since they live there now.

This is the Enterprise at the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton- it was pretty cool. Two rides- one Borg and one Klingon! Lots of history and costumes in the way in.

My favorite Hotel/Casino the NY NY. It even has roller coaster! The pic below is of a fine Irish pub in the Casino called the Nine Fine Irishmen and it has a band called Ri Ra that just was awesome...Seven Drunken Nights was the best!!! So the guy at the door to the pub carded me...thank you very much! Before he saw my ID Cory said "so it's her birthday (it was a little after midnight). How old do you think she is?" The guy said "22 or 23 max"....HOW AWESOME! I decided this year I am being backwards...23 it is! I might be older than Cory but I look younger! lol

We drove out to Hoover Dam- it was only about a half hour outside of Vegas...I was in awe, I think the building in the side of the cliff would be a hard thing to do today. To think it was done in the 1930's!

We had a good time. Ate good food...okay so In N Out and Sonic! lol Saw Bobby Darin at a resturant singing when we went to dinner with Steve and Aubrey and their kids. Our kids were home at our house with their Nana and Grandpa who came from Alaska to watch them...THANK YOU! And I just realized there is nothing on here from the holidays so that blog will follow!

Okay so I've been busy...thats a good excuse right? C and the little kids and I went on vacation on August to Silverwood in Idaho. Had fun BUT we took the rain and bad weather with us. 100 degrees before we go and 60 and raining the day we pull into Spokane. Put off the park for a day then went. Madeline went on her first big roller coaster. She must have liked it since that was her choice for "last ride" the next day before we left. Other than the weather and the hard bed in the hotel we had a good time! On the way back we stopped on Leavenworth and paid to much for a lunch that wasn't all that- we'll have to try that again sometime.

We carved pumpkins and the kids trick or treated last night....now on to Thanksgiving! YAY!

I started a new job in Sept. I love it. Back in Real Estate and my bosses just started a new company. I love it. So much better than where I was...C is still doing to same old thing...still seems to like it well enough I guess, I worry a bit now and then but mostly I am still okay with it. Kids love school and their outside things. All 3 of them are doing great!

I'll try to do this more often!

When will this stop hurting so much!??!!!
So in July of 1995 while I was in Florida and shortly after my daughter was stillborn my ex-husband got a cat. At first I was afraid of her- she tried to climb the inside of my nightgown and since that never worked out the way she planned she would just end up scratching me. We grew to love each other though. I had her through everything. Through the whole thing at Mcchord when C wanted out of our relationship. We had her babysat while we lived in the UK by various relatives and then by a very dear friend of mine in MD. We got other cats in England but they just were not Buffy. When we came back stateside we stopped there and got her before continuing on to CA. When I left and moved up her with the girls she came with me. She was there for me to cuddle when I was single (both times lol) before I met DH.
So Thursday evening when I got home she was on the floor of the living room and I leaned over and scratched her head. Then DH went out to go to work and she went out as well. I never saw her again. I posted flyers last night on our big community mailbox and this morning a neighbor called and told me he saw her on the side of the road where she had been hit and she was dead. I haven't cried that hard in a VERY long time. Telling my kids was one of the hardest things I have done. I miss her so much already and wish she could just come home to me. I just want her to cuddle up with me on the blanket Mary made me (her favorite BTW) and kneed me to make me more comfortable for her. I have lost a very dear friend and I will miss her everyday.

End of the year

So school is out. Summer is here- sort of! Wish it would warm up- supposed to next week and I cannot wait! The younger kids are going to the Boys and Girls club for the summer- they love it there so much. They all call Maddie "Boo" instead of her name since they says she looks like Boo off of Monsters Inc. Madeline's teacher and her had a pretty special bond and here are some pics of them at her "graduation" It was so cute. I can not believe she is going to be in first grade. She and Garrett both love to roller blade and ride their bikes and if you walk into any room they were alone in you tend to find them dancing! They have been helping me practice softball since I joined a team and I completely suck at it!!! lol We are going to try and take them over to Silverwood this summer hopefully in August when it's nice and warm. Next weekend we're going to take them out on the boat fishing!!! We have plans to go to the music in the park thing here in town for the 4th then stay and watch the fireworks- it's actually on the 3rd so we can sleep in Wednesday morning. Just me and Maddie and some friends of mine since Maureen is at her dads and Garrett is at his moms and DH has to work!!! Hope everyone has a very safe and happy 4th of July.

Baseball

These are of Garretts last baseball game which was the same day as the recital just in the morning. He had a great time playing this year and we had fun watching him. He is really good at baseball and also want to do every other sport you can name!

The girls dance recital was a hit!!! They had fun and did so well. The first two are of them in action on the stage! What a great day. I also got parent of the year from the dance studio! What a blast!

So life is good. We've closed on the house. The kids love their purple, pink and blue rooms. We love the fact that our room is twice as big here....don't know what we need that space for...hmmm maybe I should chase him around the bed? Won't work since he wants to be caught! shucks! lol Can't wait for everyone to see the new house- party soon I promise!

Lets see the kids... They are good. Love the huge park near the new house. Working on teaching Boo to ride her stupid bike. It is not working- any advice is appriciated. I didn't deal with this with M so I have no idea (she taught herself in like an hour) and G took like 3 trips with us then had it all by himself. Boo seems to want me to push her forever....I can use the running but dang!!! lol Both girls still do dance. Recital is in June- they will be so cute. M still does Band and Choir and school and is so good at it! G is looving baseball and hits without the T I would guess like 90% of the time. All of us try and go to as many games as we can. Too cute. He can catch and throw very well too.

C is still loving his job...I think he was made for this. Almost done training- breaking his foot really slowed that process down. I don't worry about him too much- just a bit.

My job is still going well. Not too much to say there. I try to cook as much as I can since I like it so much. I miss doing it more.

We're going to Lincoln City, Oregon to the beach for our anniversary next month. I can not believe it has been a year. I want to try and find one of those glass balls on the beach and just relax...the hot tub is calling me!!!

I guess thats about it.

House

So C and I have decided to buy a house. It's only a few miles from where we are now and the kids will stay at their schools. We love it and thought long a hard and did a lot of searching. Here are some pics...

My new job is great. The people are so nice and the work is pretty easy. Really just imputing data. Then if I can't figure out from the computer where something goes I have to go look on the big maps upstairs. It's like being a detective! My real estate training really comes in handy sometimes- okay alot!!! My commute is about 10-15 minutes and that is so cool cause I can come home and put the princess on the bus,

Cory is done with FTO and is now on his own! He has all his stuff and his car is set up. He's still having a blast and I am still dealing with the change of being a cop's wife somedays- like those days when he is late getting home because someone tries to run him over! The cop thing makes him happy though and since I love him so much and thats what I want for him to be it makes me happy too even if I am concerned sometimes.

The kids are doing great. Maureen and Madeline love their school. Garrett's new daycare, not that he goes that often since he is usually home with his dad or I, is wonderful. His DC provider has a daughter about his age and he seems to love it there. They planted flowers last week. Conferences for the girls were last week and they are both doing wonderfully in school. They both still have talking issues and I wonder so much where they get that??!!! Oh yeah I know- from me!!!! Maureen is getting her tonsils out at the end of the month- they really have been bothering her. She does band and we're going to put them back in dance and then next week she's going to start choir! Busy busy busy. They are growing up too fast!

I guess thats it here. Date night is tonight although it got trimmed down since my foot is still messed up so no dancing at McCabes for me! But some alone time with my sweetie will be great!

Job stuff again and some others

So my last bosses decided that I should leave a week early. So I was a SAHM mom for a week- for those of you that do this full time...HOLY COW!!! This is so much harder than working outside the home- I don't think I have worked this hard in YEARS! lol Was cool to spend a week off with the kids- Garrett was even here with us this week. My new job starts tomorrow and I am soooooo nervous!

Yesterday I finally broke down after a week and told Cory I HAD to go to the ER for my foot. My right big toe and down the side of my foot hurt so bad I could hardly walk- I handled it for a week then needed to go. He laughed at me because I had just been off for a week and he had been off for 2 days and I pick the day he goes back to work after his weekend to go in...oops
:-( They gave me some meds(just one dose) for the inflamation and told me to also take Motrin and Aleve. AND no heels on my first day of work tomorrow. :-(

Kids are all ready for Halloween. We have started decorating for what seems like an on going this for the next few months...just change them out until January KWIM? Maureen is going to be a baby, Maddie a princess (big surpise huh?) and Garrett a Power Ranger (also really no big surprise). Garrett's mom is coming to trick or treat with us- the kids love that! And this year instead of heading to the base we'll do it here in our neighborhood.

Cory and I bought cheap ($10) tickets to the B & D, Sugarland, Jack Ingram concert last week. What a blast! This weekend is his birthday party- should be so much fun some of our friends and us are going out. Then he won off the radio dinner for two and Dixie Chicks tickets on Nov. 11th. So we're going to make a night of it- Emerald Queen and McCabes here we come! Anyway I guess that is all going on here.

New Job!!!

So as you know I commute about 40 minutes to work each way. Last week I firmly decided to make a move. I told my bosses on Monday that I planned to look for a new job. They seemed okay with it and asked me what I planned to do and I really had no idea so I told them that. They offered to call people they know in Olympia but I wanted to do it myself. So I called to find out the name of who I would talk to at this one specific place and that afternoon she called me back and we set up an interview on Thursday morning. She offered me the job at a substantial pay raise from where I am now and NO COMMUTE- it is literally 7.8 miles from my house! I start on the 23rd and I am so excited.

So I went to the live tour of this TV show- not the show just the tour after it. AWESOME. Went with my mom and my sister and we had a blast. Screamed my head off! It was so cool. Cory had planned to go with me since we both watched this show but he had to work. All my favorite dancers and dances they did on TV.

School Again???

So as the girls started school Cory got released to work- on swing shift. So we decided to transfer the girls to a school in Lacey- where we live now. They start Monday and are very excited to be going to school with their friends!!! Maddie wasn't too upset by this move and Maureen said she was okay with it (it was her decision) but I know she was sad to leave Southside. I think this will be so good for her!!! So the girls are switching school and Cory is back on the street being a cop!!!! All seems good here this week. lol

This is our new dog, Molly. She is about 10 months old. She is part Lab and part American Bulldog. She is pretty well behaved just chews a bit- which Cory tells me is normal for baby labs. Isn't she pretty???

YAY!! So Cory's foot is still broken- they are talking surgery so please send us positive thoughts that he doesn't need it. But he is now back at work- sort of. He is following up on cases for the detectives. Working at a desk but still doing cop work so he's happy!

Locks of Love

So Madeline decided to donate her hair to "sick kids". We took her in about 2 weeks ago and got it cut off! I love her new hair since she can do it her self. I think it is so cute and so easy. We put in a special envelope and mailed it off to Locks of Love with copies of these pictures!

This is Cory's Nanna, Me, Cory, Garrett and Madeline. We had a wonderful trip. It was so good to see everyone. We had so much fun on the beach, in the pool, and really just visiting. It was so relaxing! Two cool things for me were getting my cell phone back after losing it and seeing Matthew Perry and his dad, John Bennett Perry, when we stopped for dinner in Valencia at Marie Callanders. The kids were so good in the car. The slept most of the way home- we got here at 6am Sunday morning.

California

So as some of you know Cory broke his foot at work towards the end of May. He has been off work since then trying to heal and being a SAHD. I know the kiddos are driving him nuts especially with not being able to get around so well. So we decided he was home anyway and needs a break. So I took 4 days of vacation and we leave tomorrow for Sunny Warm Southern California. We will see family and friends. 18 hours in a car with Garrett and Maddie should be fun-we will drive at night so they will hopefully sleep and in Madeline's case we just pray she doesn't throw up! We will be staying for the most part near the beach with Cory's dad and stepmother. The kids are so excited to see the beach and Grumpy and Grandma. I will post pistures as we get them.

The important things that have happened in our lives...Cory graduating from the police academy and our wedding. We also moved to Lacey to be closer to Maple Valley where Cory works- I still commute to Shelton.
